Privacy
What fooment keeps, who can see it, and how to delete it.
What is stored
- Your name and email. From your Google account, to sign you in.
- Courses and assignments. Titles, due dates and the descriptions your calendar includes.
- Your work. The time you log, your notes and your estimates.
- Your calendar feed link, encrypted. The link works like a password to your calendar, so it is never shown back in full and is unreadable without a key kept outside the database.
- A sign-in cookie. A random token that keeps you signed in on this browser. Signing out deletes it.
- Nothing else. No passwords, no grades, nothing from Canvas beyond what your calendar feed contains.
Who can see it
- Only you. The person who runs fooment can access the database to keep it working, and does not look at or share individual students’ data.
- A program you join, as group totals only. If you enter a program code (from TRIO, say), that program can see totals for the whole group — never your own work, and nothing for a group under 10 students. You can leave on the Program page.
- No ads, no analytics. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Services fooment runs on
- Supabase. Stores the database and handles the Google sign-in.
- Vercel. Hosts the website.
- Google. Confirms who you are when you sign in.
Deleting your data
- Calendars. Disconnecting one on the Import page deletes its link right away. The assignments it brought in stay until you delete them.
- Assignments. Deleting one removes it and its logged time. For one from your calendar, its title and course are kept so the next sync does not bring it back — they are listed on the Import page, where you can restore them.
- Courses. A deleted course is hidden right away and kept so it can be undone.
- Everything. To delete your account, email pacamacho@csumb.edu from the address you sign in with. It is done within a week.
fooment is a student project, not a CSUMB service. Questions go to pacamacho@csumb.edu.
